So, after hours of fiddling and figureing out what was wrong with this image, I finally was able to get it all straightened out and get it fixed.

So uh, lots and lots and lots of hours in Poser, many more in rendering, and a couple in PSCS postwork.

Image is reduced from original size of 2000x2216

This reminds me of a Japanese movie which was patterned after Fatal Frame. It had something called St. John's Wort in it lol. Anywho, I am not saying it looks anything like it, but simply reminds me.

I like the tattered and worn textures you made here. The mood is melancholy and the subdued hues mesh well to accentuate the blooming rose.

St John's Wort is a plant extract from the plant with the same name, it's used for health stuff.

thanks, the rose was actually a last-miniute thing after I lost the original pose, which you can see on the original Rust Angel rendering a few images back.

Yes, it's supposedly effective in depression, the movie's theme revolved around murders caused by psychosis and mental disorders. But I'd much rather prescribe Zoloft or lithium salts for those conditions over herbal remedies. ^_^; (I'm actually a Pharmacy student lol! But I'm considering a serious career in art now)

oh hey cool! But I dunno, I know more than my share of head-cases and so many are addicted to their meds, I'd rather them be addicted to natural stuff(hell, even pot!), partially because I don't like the pharmaceutical corps, also simply because so many have all those little side-effects.

it's a really beautiful image, but she doesn't stand out very much from her background.
I know that might have been the point, but I think it might take away from the amazing details on her

Well, normally my settings are less complex, though that is what I often love about Stonemason's models, the sheer complexity, and I wanted an overall theme of kida gray to contrast with the blue sky background.

So yes, the focus here was on the scene and her blending with it, I was trying to go for something that, like my style, still focused on the character as the primary thing in the scene, but not the scene in it's entirety, which many of my images are.
